Do you use the free Asana platform or a paid version?As projects became more and more complicated over the years, various project management tools have emerged to address the needs of project managers. There is also a plug-in for the web-based Instagantt (Gantt Chart) app which helps to construct & visualize project schedules. The web-based application can be as simple or as robust as you'd like it to be, & it also allows you to keep track of the project's progress overall. We used it (along with an inter-office messaging app) to delegate both when in-office & remotely. I'd absolutely recommend Asana for task-based deliverables. Any thoughts on Asana/Trello/Monday or something else? Thank you. We have a high volume of projects for a small firm with a consistent load of 15 or more projects at any given time so juggling this amount of projects has become very difficult. We are actively looking for a new mobile software/app that will allow us to all stay on the same page with each project and help the 2 interns know which task to tackle next - without having to ask. Now that we are working remotely due to Covid-19, efficiency has dropped dramatically. I'm testing Notion right now, to address those collaboration shortcomings. Since it's all stored in our server (or in the cloud, if chosen so) working at the office or from home makes no difference at all. We currently use at our office M-Files, which is more centered toward document control and workflow. Have you tried Notion? it's a very powerful combination of Evernote, Google Keep, Database and moreĬheck 30x40 youtube channel and website for his insights on architecture usage. The chat method is also helpful in that you don't need context as you would with emails. Emails get messy, but a channel can hone in discussions pertaining certain projects.
I also think Slack is helpful, as it directs messages by channels. If you are heavy in saving everything into Folders, then Trello would work just fine. For a longer list of notes, Notion does better, as it combines Trello with Evernote.
What I like about Trello or Notion, is that you can have a work tag, for example, "zoning research" and the person can hand off that project to the DD person, with all the important information in one place. It's not difficult, but it's like Lego, you have to build your system. Notion is incredibly customizable, but that also means it requires an organized person to also learn the software. With a team of 5, you're not worried about a person's hourly output, but instead simply, what do we need to do next.
I think Asana and Monday both try to integrate the $$ factor into the project management, but I think higher end software would work better, and necessary when you have HR. I think Kanban is more useful than Gantt chart, as we're not trying to manage what to do in 2 months, we're only trying to focus on what to do right now. I'm excited! Can't believe 30x40 is using Notion!!
